📤 How to Create Email Forwarders or Aliases in cPanel

Email forwarders (also called aliases) automatically redirect messages from one address to another — for example, forwarding info@yourdomain.com to yourname@yourdomain.com.
They’re useful for managing team inboxes, contact forms, or role-based email addresses without creating separate mailboxes.

🧠 Before You Begin

Make sure:

  • Your domain’s email is hosted with TK Internet Marketing and points to the correct MX records.

  • You have access to your hosting cPanel account.

  • You know the destination address where emails will be forwarded.

💡 Email forwarders don’t store messages; they simply redirect them. If you need a mailbox that keeps copies, create a normal email account instead.

🔐 Step 1: Log In to Your cPanel Account

  1. Log in to your TK Internet Marketing Client Area:
    https://clients.tkinternetmarketing.com/clientarea.php

  2. Go to Services → My Services → View Details on your hosting plan.

  3. Click Login to cPanel.

✉️ Step 2: Open the Forwarders Tool

  1. In cPanel, scroll down to the Email section.

  2. Click Forwarders.

  3. You’ll see two tabs:

    • Email Account Forwarders: For individual email addresses.

    • Domain Forwarders: For forwarding all mail from one domain to another.

⚙️ Step 3: Create an Individual Email Forwarder

  1. Under Email Account Forwarders, click Add Forwarder.

  2. In the Address to Forward field, enter the username (e.g., info if the address is info@yourdomain.com).

  3. Choose your domain from the dropdown.

  4. In the Destination field, enter the email address where messages should be sent (e.g., yourname@yourdomain.com).

  5. Click Add Forwarder to save.

✅ All future messages sent to info@yourdomain.com will now be delivered to the address you entered.

🌐 Step 4: Create a Domain Forwarder (Optional)

If you want to forward all mail from one domain to another:

  1. Click the Add Domain Forwarder button.

  2. Select your domain (e.g., oldsite.com).

  3. Enter the destination domain (e.g., newsite.com).

  4. Click Add Domain Forwarder.

⚠️ This will forward every address on your old domain (e.g., sales@oldsite.com) to the same username on your new domain (sales@newsite.com).

🧩 Step 5: Verify Your Forwarder

To test:

  1. Send a test email to the original address (e.g., info@yourdomain.com).

  2. Check that it arrives in the destination inbox.

  3. If not, verify:

    • Your MX Records point to mail.yourdomain.com.

    • There are no typos in the destination address.

    • Your domain is not using an external email provider (e.g., Microsoft 365) unless configured.

🧮 Step 6: Manage or Delete Forwarders

  1. Go back to Email → Forwarders.

  2. You’ll see a list of existing forwarders.

  3. Click Delete next to any entry to remove it.

💡 You can add multiple forwarders for the same domain if needed — for example, sales@, info@, and support@ forwarding to different people.
